The games in the past between Matangi-Hillcrest and Jaradites have all been hard fought encounters. Matangi scored the opening try which was not converted. Then it was Jaradites turn when Angi Tukia reserve forward scored.His try was also not converted.Then Jaradites gave away a penalty which Matangi kicked. Half-time score was 8-5. Jaradites won the scrums including when it was Matangi's put in.The lineouts weren't to flash. Jaradites were unlucky not to score on 3 separate occassions when both wingers Alosio Nauer and Openside flanker turned winger Pati Molilupe were unable to gather the ball to score.Prop forward Kelly Siolee had some barnstorming runs.20 minutes into the 2nd half reserve flanker Brandon Martin gave a basketball pass to 1st five Andrew Ah-tong which was intercepted by Matangi 1st Five Shane Raupita who scored under the posts and converted his own try.The game see sawed up and down the field when winger Alsio Nauer came down in a tackle and fell on his shoulder and also hit his head. An ambulance was called which took a bit of time coming and he was taken to hospital.The referee decided to call the game off with 13 minutes to go.
