LDS Boys organized into a Church Rugby League team to play for Frankton
Albions Rugby League Club in their Senior Seconds Grade. The team
Played 12 games. They won 11 and drew 1. Team was organized by Charles
Sunnex, Victor Bracken and Grenville Bell all members of Lds Church.

meeting of proposed new Lds Rugby League Club for 1989 held at the home
of Victor Bracken at 14 Arawa Street, Frankton. There were 9 LDSpresent
and 1 non-lds.Name of future club adopted and approved to be called
‘Jaradites Rugby League Club’.

Club Captain Kevin Watene at 63 Winstone Avenue, Fairfield.

Sunnex writes to Robert Perriton principal of Church College of New
Zealand for permission to use Church College rugby fields for Senior
Rugby League training for 1989 season.

The 3rd meeting of the Jaradites Rugby League Club was held in the LDS Stake Centre in TeRapa.

Charles Sunnex personally approaches 11 LDS Church members who
Collectively made individual donations for 17 new Rugby League Jerseys
which each cost $60.00 each. The jerseys were purchased from Zeus
Sports Ltd in Auckland. Those Lds church members who contributed were
John Paki – 2, Bruce & Martha Tupaea – 2, Victor Bracken – 2,
Charles Sunnex – 2, Paisanga Foua – 2, Grenville Bell, Kevin Watene,
Raumati Heke, John Gray, Glen O’Brien, Bill Gudgeon and Sonny
Macdonald.

Sunnex tables Jaradite Rugby League Clubs new application for club
affiliation to Waikato Rugby League annual General Meeting
atTurangawaewae clubrooms. Clubs are hostile t o clubs application.
Matter to be decided at Waikato Rugby Leagues first board meeting in
1989. Charles Sunnex is also elected as a new Waikato Rugby League
Board Member at this meeting.

Sunnex presents Jaradite Rugby League Clubs proposal for club
affiliation to the Waikato Rugby League Board. Proposal is successful
by a vote of 5-3 with one person abstaining.

dated 16.02.1989 from Johnson Raumati secretary of the Waikato Rugby
League is sent to the club confirming Jaradites Rugby Leagues entrance
into 1989 clubs competition.

Paisanga
Togia and Priscilla Sunnex sign Waikato Rugby League Memorandum of
agreement between the Jaradite Rugby League Club and Waikato Rugby
League Board. Raumati Heke and Glen O’Brien were witnesses to
signatures.This outlined certain conditions the club would have to
abide by.
